Volunteers Needed

The Swim and Dive Team is responsible for providing volunteers for a number of events throughout the year.

Assignments are made to all athletics of the high school and middle school to work the concession stands or gates for varsity football and soccer games.

Additionally, the Team is also responsible for hosting all home swim meets at WTRC, the Southwest District Boys DI and DII Centerville Sectional meets, and the Centerville Classic meet (new in 2011).  These meets are our largest fundraisers, so it is important that we are successful.

As a Swim and Dive Team participant family, you are required to volunteer a minimum of 6 sessions.  We are lucky to have access to Volunteerhub to organize our volunteer efforts.

To volunteer, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Click on the "Volunteer Now" button on the upper right corner of the website.
    • If you have previously registered on Volunteerhub, please use your existing username and password. If you don’t remember your username and password, please contact Clara Osterhage at clara.osterhage@greatclips.net, and she will get your log in information to you.
    • If you are new to Volunteerhub, complete the user registration. It is suggested that you use your first name as your username and your last name as your password. You will be asked to select a group that applies to you. Please choose the group (sport or activity) which you are going to be volunteering on behalf of. That will insure that you are able to view all of the events that are assigned to your group.
  2. Once you are registered and logged in, you will be able to see all events associated with the sport or activity that you have selected. At that point, you will be able to sign up for events.
  3. If all volunteer slots are taken for a particular event, you will not be able to sign up for that event.
  4. You will be emailed with information about any event that you sign up for. You will also be sent reminders a few days before each event so that you have the details of the event location, time to report, etc.

2010-2011 Parent Board Vacancies

The following board Vacancies to be filled:

The Publicity Coordinator is responsible for making connections with the local newspaper media and semi-aggressively presenting information to them for publication on a timely basis. By obtaining results from the team website and talking to the head coach, he/she can create PR opportunities for the team on a regular basis.

The Apparel Coordinator is responsible for participating in pre-season planning to assist with the selection of team items (both required and spirit types). He/she will work with our vendors to prepare for the team kick-off meeting and will coordinate pick up and delivery of accurate orders for the athletes.

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for working with the president of the Athletic Booster Club to fill volunteer positions assigned to the team (soccer and football concessions). He/she is also responsible for working with Volunteerhub to insure that all team volunteer positions are filled prior to the events.

The Hospitality Co-Coordinator is responsible for working with the other coordinator to plan and prepare for all events involving hospitality (some home meets, sectionals, etc.). This coordinator would have to work the boys sectional meet.

The Concessions Co-Coordinator is responsible for working with the other coordinator to plan and prepare for all events involving concessions (some home meets, sectionals, etc.).
